GOALS

In order to meet international climate targets, the development and large-scale deployment of carbon dioxide (CO2) removal technologies is urgent. The objective of this project is to investigate potential synergetic effects of co-deployment of enhanced weathering of basalt powder and biochar for carbon dioxide removal and sequestration, as well as associated co-benefits and side effects for soil fertility, soil fauna and plant growth.

Assessing the Synergies and Side Effects of enhanced weathering and biochar as negative emission Technologies
